What does it feel in your body when you’re on “green” light? For me, I notice my shoulders relaxing. I don’t notice any areas of tension. I feel like reaching out and connecting with others. I want to sit and read a book or go for a walk. Or snuggle.
What does your child look like on green? Fostering awareness of what’s happening in his body begins with you and naming it outloud. What do you notice when you or your child are on green? Perhaps he’s more snuggly, maybe she’s playing quietly, or happily and gently twirling around. Maybe you’re more snuggly, too.
The more you can identify what green looks like in your family, the easier it becomes to apply the concepts.
