The 5 Elements of Traditional Oriental Medicine – Metal

metal

Basic Characteristics- Metal requires a lot of heat and pressure to make it change. They need structure, predictability, and are detail oriented (like an engineer or accountant). They need to do everything in a certain order and will most easily flow into a routine. (I never had a metal child…) If something messes it up, they’re really upset. Don’t shock and surprise them.

Opportunities for growth- Flexibility. That is all I have to say about that. And ending unhealthy relationships.

Health concerns- Respiratory issues- take in breath and let go of breath. They can’t let things go. Constipation because they can’t let it go.

Gifts- They’re detail oriented and are our future engineers, accountants, event planners.
Remember no one element is more important than the others. We need all of these elements to be complete as a society.
Do you identify with the element of metal? Do you have a metal child in your house?
